What the Health Screening

On September 15, 2017 the Good Food Movement, with support from Down to Earth Hawaii, organized a screening of the documentary What the Health, at the Bayer Estate. We got to enjoy a gorgeous sunset on the beachfront property before the film started.

What the Health explores the relationship between big business (pharmaceutical companies, agribusiness, and processed animal food companies) and government. The film investigates how the resulting corruption influences the overall health of our nation-- costing us our wellbeing and trillions of dollars in healthcare. It exposes the unwillingness of our nation's leading health organizations to educate people about the power of a plant-based diet in preventing, and even reversing, chronic diseases.

The documentary encouraged viewers to question what we know about health and what we hear from so-called reliable sources. We must take responsibility for our own health and wellbeing by having the courage to act on what we are now aware of.

We ended the night with a Q&A by Dr. Diana Joy Ostroff from the Center for Natural Healing.

If you haven't watched the film, we highly recommend it. It is available for streaming on Netflix.
